Our Story

My wife Stephanie and I talked and prayed for years about our vision for a church. This vision grew to be our passion, sprung from and refined by the time we spent in various churches as faithful members, ministers, and visitors.

Then, in 2005, when our desire to fulfill our vision became greater than our fear of planting a church, we decided to “take the plunge” and plant Sparrow Fellowship under the auspices of Erie First Assembly, where we had been pastoring for ten years.

Sparrow Fellowship began humbly, with five families in our living room where it quickly grew to numerous families and singles at its present location at Sparrow Pond Family Campground in Waterford, Pennsylvania.
