Our Sunday Services

“Acts 2:42: “Devote yourselves to teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread and prayer.”

The campground recreational building where we meet allows our Sunday morning service to be casual, interactive, and Spirit-filled. We start around 10:00 a.m., allowing a few minutes for everyone to chat and interact. We have contemporary worship for 20 minutes, have prayer, and take a few minute break to transition for children and youth.

After the break, Scott teaches, and then allows time for anyone who wishes to ask questions, share or give input. This open dialogue is something not typical of most Sunday services, but we love the give-and-take it allows.

Topics of teaching and discussion emphasize practicality and applicability to the world; service to spouse and others; training children biblically; the importance of the Holy Spirit and His gifts; and how to share your faith so that your evangelism is a lifestyle, not part of a program. Since Sparrow Fellowship is multi-generational, teaching is aimed toward all age groups.

Because we sit at tables and take time to eat and interact during the service, there really is no pulpit/pew divide—we’re all there for the same purpose and we’re all there to contribute to it. We usually finish around 11:45 a.m.
