Children

Children are important to us!

All children are present during the worship portion of the service.

Then, during adult study and discussion time, children ages 2 through 5th grade meet for about 30 minutes with their teacher for a Bible story, a craft and a game. These are precious minutes spent teaching the kids about Jesus while keeping them active,
engaged, and having fun.

While parents of infants must oversee their own children, Sparrow makes the environment very parent and baby-friendly. We have a designated play area for toddlers right in the recreation hall where parents can watch their children and still be part of the service.

Parents of infants, too, are encouraged to bring their babies into the service in strollers or whatever carrier is convenient for them to transport and take care of their children.

Jesus never pushed children away; in fact, it’s likely He was even interrupted a few times by a crying child! A little joyful noise is worth having everyone worshipping together.

Each Sunday our teens gather after corporate worship to explore various topics through the Bible Study and discussion.  During the school year, our youth consists of teens from throughout the world due to the student dorm on site.

Middle school students gather to assess the sermon and help out in children’s church.  We believe it is the parent’s role to train their children (Ephesians 6: 1-4), but Sparrow Fellowship endeavors to provide opportunities to assist parents in the process as we grow in our faith.
